How it works
Most trees are suited for machine digging. A specialized piece of equipment called a tree spade first arrives at the trees destination
A receiving hole is dug for the tree to be planted in. Sometimes this dirt "plug" is dumped on the ground next to the tree location or it is planted in a hole previous hole another tree was dug out of. Next the tree spade proceeds to the tree to be moved.
Next the truck is backed up to the tree
The spade is carefully centered on the truck of the tree.
The gates are closed and the spade now surrounds the tree.
The blades are hydraulically driven into the ground to encapsulate and support the root ball.
Now the tree and root ball are lifted out of the ground.
The tree is now ready to be transported to its new home!
