For trees 3" to 6" inch trunk diameter tree, Big Tree Mover uses  Four wheel drive loader mounted spades to dig trees. The tree spade has a circular frame that surrounds the tree at the base. Four curved blades are then hydraulically driven in the ground to dig and support the root ball.
  The tree and root ball are then lifted up and directly transplanted or planted in a burlap lined wire basket where they can be stored or craned into a difficult spot.
